Editor

Your Drupal and Statamic sites, in your pocket.

Your content lives on several sites, and they don't all run the same CMS. Your ideas don't wait until you're back at a computer. Editor is a native editor for iPhone and iPad that connects straight to YOUR sites, Drupal and Statamic alike. No hosted service, no sync, no middleman: the app talks to your sites, and to nothing else.

What you do with it

  • Two CMS, one notebook

Add your Statamic and Drupal sites side by side. Every account shows the CMS behind it, and you switch between them from the account menu — no switching apps, no wondering where you are writing.

  • Write in rich text, natively

An editor written natively, without any WebView. Your text is written straight in the format your CMS stores: Bard for Statamic, structured HTML for Drupal.

  • Your fields, exactly as you defined them

Forms are built from your site's own blueprints and content types. What you see in your administration panel is what you get on the phone.

  • A gesture, never an accident

Where revisions are enabled, saving creates a working copy; publishing is a separate action with its own message. Two people cannot silently overwrite each other.

  • History and restore

Where revisions are enabled, the history is complete and restoring a version takes two taps.

  • Your site's images, in the same pocket

Pick images from your asset library or upload new ones, straight from the entry you are editing.

Before you install

The app is only useful if you run a site with the Editor API installed: the addon for Statamic 6, or the module for Drupal 11. Without it, the app has no site to reach.

The app itself creates no account, hosts nothing, collects no data and talks to no server but yours. Offline drafts stay on the device until you send them.

Editor API — the bridge that makes it work

Editor API adds a clean, complete REST write API to your site. Conceived as the backend of Editor, and open to any client you want to build.

  • Statamic 6 addon: Control Panel parity through public facades, byte-faithful Bard.
  • Drupal 11 module: nodes, taxonomy, media, files and paths via /api/editor/v1.
  • Drafts by default, deliberate publishing, revisions and semantic restore.
  • Your users, roles and permissions, untouched.
  • Statamic: entries, assets, taxonomy terms, globals, navigations, form submissions and blueprints; multi-site with Statamic Pro.
  • Conflict detection on entries.
