Privacy Policy

This policy covers the applications developed by Charlier Consulting — including AltersOne, Editor (with the Editor API extensions) and GroovyParty — as well as this website, charlierconsulting.eu.

AltersOne

AltersOne is a personal journaling and inner dialogue app for iOS, iPadOS and macOS.

AltersOne collects no personal data. It contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDKs. All your data (conversations, participants, groups, moods, history) is stored locally on your device in a Core Data database, encrypted by iOS Data Protection and unreadable while your iPhone or iPad is locked (on Mac, protected by FileVault when it is turned on).

If you enable private iCloud synchronization, your data syncs exclusively through Apple's CloudKit private database associated with your personal Apple ID (iCloud.eu.charlierconsulting.SelfTalk). Neither Charlier Consulting nor any intermediary has access to your synchronized data.

In-app purchases and subscriptions are handled directly by Apple via StoreKit 2; Charlier Consulting never collects, receives or stores any payment or financial information.

Editor

Editor (for Drupal and Statamic) collects no personal data. It contains no analytics, no advertising and no third-party SDKs. The app talks only to the Drupal or Statamic site you configure, using the credentials you enter, and to no other server.

The access token produced when you sign in is stored securely in the iOS Keychain on your device; your site address and e-mail are kept in the app's settings on your device, and your password is never stored. Offline drafts are stored on your device until you send them, and are deleted with the app. Nothing leaves your phone except the direct requests you make to your own site.

The Editor API backend extensions (Statamic addon or Drupal module) run on your own server. Whatever they store (tokens, working copies, revisions) stays on that server, under your control, subject to your own site's policy.

GroovyParty

GroovyParty (for iPhone and Apple Watch) collects no personal data. It contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDKs, and it never connects to the internet. Servings, timestamps and the names you give to colors are stored locally on each device and are exchanged only between your own iPhone and Apple Watch, through Apple's WatchConnectivity link. Nothing is sent to Charlier Consulting or to any server. Deleting the app deletes its data.

This website

This website uses no analytics, no tracking and no external fonts or scripts. It sets a single technical session cookie, required to protect the contact form against cross-site request forgery. That cookie contains no personal data and expires when you close your browser.

Contact form

If you use the contact form, the name, e-mail address and message you enter are sent by e-mail to Charlier Consulting. They are not stored on this website. They are kept in the support mailbox for as long as needed to answer you, then deleted. They are never shared with anyone else, and never used for anything but answering you.

Hosting and transmission

This website is hosted by Fly.io in the Paris region. Like any web server, it keeps short-lived access logs (IP address, requested URL, browser identification) for security purposes. E-mails from the contact form are transmitted through Resend, an e-mail delivery service, which processes them on our behalf.

Under the GDPR you may ask to access, correct or erase the personal data we hold about you — which, in practice, is limited to the e-mails you sent us. Write to support@charlierconsulting.eu. You may also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (autoriteprotectiondonnees.be).
